What this site collects.
A plain description of the data this website handles, and what it does not.
Needs legal review before launch. This page accurately describes what the website does technically. It is not a complete privacy notice: it deliberately states no data-controller identity, lawful basis, retention period or ICO registration, because those are business facts rather than code facts. Tilos’s own adviser should complete it.
Cookies
We use optional cookies to understand how the site is used. They are set only if you press “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you press “Reject”, or ignore the banner, nothing is set and no third-party script is loaded at all.
Two services may be used, and only these two:
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) — which pages are visited and for how long. IP addresses are anonymised, and ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are all explicitly denied.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd) — anonymous heatmaps showing where people click and how far they scroll, so we can find the parts of the site that are confusing. Clarity is configured to mask text: anything you type into a form is redacted in your browser before it is transmitted, so we can see that a field was used but never what was entered.
We do not use advertising or personalisation cookies, and we do not sell this data or pass it to anyone beyond the two services named above. Both are data processors acting for us. Note that Clarity is a Microsoft product and Microsoft may also use the data it collects for its own purposes, which are governed by the Microsoft privacy statement.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
The enquiry form
When you complete the enquiry form we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, optional phone number, postcode, property type, current heating, rough timescale, what you are interested in, and any notes you add.
That information is sent to us by email so we can respond to your enquiry. It is not added to a marketing list, and it is not sold or shared for marketing purposes.
The form is protected by a rate limit and a hidden anti-spam field. Neither collects anything about you.
What we do not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No third-party marketing pixels or social trackers.
- No profiling and no automated decision-making.
- No sale or sharing of your details for marketing.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email sebastian@tilosenergy.co.uk and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
